Nominating a Justice Minister for Northern Ireland

The BBC reports that formal nominations are being sought in the Northern Ireland Assembly for a Justice Minister, the next stage in the long-running saga of trying to devolve justice and policing there.   The Beeb mentions David Ford, leader of the Alliance Party, as the most obvious candidate (though I’ve heard several other Alliance MLAs mentioned in that context too).  We might start to get some idea of who is in the frame next week.
