2010 is going to be a very interesting year, with a UK General Election certainly on the cards, a referendum on primary legislative powers for the National Assembly for Wales very likely, ongoing debates about devolution finance across the UK and particularly in Scotland, and constitutional debates there too. That’s not to overlook issues in Northern Ireland, such as the devolution of justice and policing and whether devolved government there survives. How well an incoming Tory UK Government (still the most likely outcome, though by no means the only one) responds to all those challenges will be particularly interesting. I hope this blog will be able to provide authoritative commentary on all those developments.
Before all that starts to happen, though, I’d like to wish all readers of this blog a happy and successful 2010.
