Cardiff conference on ‘Co-habitation between the Thames and the Taff’

Along with such luminaries as David Marquand, Anthony Barnett and Tom Nairn, I’ll be speaking at a conference in Cardiff on 9 July on ‘Co-habitation between the Thames and the Taff’.  Organised by the Institute of Welsh Affairs and the Wales Governance Centre at Cardiff University (whose director, Richard Wyn Jones, will also be speaking), it will look at the implications of May’s UK general election and the coalition government in London that resulted.  I’ll be talking about the Conservatives and their evolving attitudes toward devolution, and the first steps taken by the new government.  (At least we should know when the referendum on legislative powers will happen by then.)

Details of the conference are here, and there’s a piece explaining by John Osmond, Director of the IWA, explaining the conference in more detail on the Institute’s blog here.
